Growing up, my siblings and I knew that when we came home from school on Thursdays it was jueves de tostadas. My grandma would make a buffet of leftover ground beef, potatoes, aguacate, etc. and we would make whatever tostadas our little hearts desired.
Now, in college, it has become one of the most affordable (and filling) meals I make. The entire process from prep to finish does not take longer than 10 minutes, and all you need are 5 ingredients.

Things you need:
1 bag of red tostadas
1 can of refried beans
4 leaves of lettuce
1 red tomato
1 bag shredded Mexican Blend cheese
Steps:
1) Wash the lettuce and cut into thin strips.
2) Dice the tomato.
3) In a medium sized pot heat up the beans.
4) Assemble your tostada!
Ta-da! It's THAT simple. Obviously, there are so many different ways to make tostadas. Let us know how you make yours!
